CLASSICAL BALLET (Ballet) 4yrs+ 

Our classical ballet teachers are highly skilled and trained professionals. Beginner students receive a rewarding and exciting experience in the technique of classical ballet, from the study of basic arm and body positions to the introduction of the "barre". Here, the fundamentals like ballet exercises, core practise & dance step combinations reinforce traditional classical ballet. In the advanced levels, students develop the technical, artistic and performance skills of adagio, pirouette and allegro. This is a required class for our Elite Program and is highly recommended for all students in our Open Program. 

POINTE by teacher recommendation only 

Pointe is the most highly disciplined and physically challenging extension of ballet. Only technically proficient upper level students who have mastered the skills of basic and advanced movement will be selected to study pointe work. Physicality, stamina, stability and strength will all be considered criteria. It is a requirement that all new pointe students register for a minimum of two Classical Ballet/PMT classes per week in order to keep up with the technical demands.  

SOCIETY OF RUSSIAN BALLET EXAMS 5yrs + 

For students ages 5 years + who have attained a high standard in their level, CSDS offers the opportunity to take the SRB certified examinations. Each year, examiners from the Society visit the school to grade students on their ballet skills. Video examinations are now also offered.
